  3. Make no effort to control the breath; simply breathe naturally.
  4. Focus your attention on the breath and on how the body moves with each inhalation and exhalation.

  6. Have your Everyday Courage journal and pen nearby to jot down any thoughts or ideas that come up after meditation.
  7. Use your Everyday Courage earbuds or a headset to listen.

Be sure to come back to these meditations daily or find others you enjoy.

Guided Meditation: New Beginnings

Meditation is a simple practice available to all, which can reduce stress, increase calmness and clarity and promote happiness. Learning how to meditate is straightforward, and the benefits can come quickly. Here are a few basic tips to get you started on a path toward greater equanimity, acceptance and joy.

Your mind will wonder, it’s inevitable. You may notice other sensations in the body, things happening around you, or just get lost in thought, daydreaming about the past or present, possibly judging yourself or others.

There’s nothing wrong with this. When this happens, simply notice what it is you were thinking about or what was distracting you, then take a moment and pause.

You don’t need to pull your attention right back to the breath. Instead, let go of whatever it was you were thinking about, reopen your attention, then gently return your awareness to by breathing deeply, being present for each inhalation and exhalation.

Guided Meditation: Desires and Imagination

From a place of deep relaxation allow your mind to focus upon the desires you would like to manifest within your reality. Allow yourself to visualize the manifestation of this desire in its entirety. Imagine how you will feel when this desire manifests. Let your emotions flow. Visualize your manifestation of desires as though you were experiencing them right now.

For example: If you are dreaming of achieving a special goal, do not merely observe yourself succeeding at this at some point in the future. Instead, visualize yourself as though this was happening to you right now, in the present moment. Imagine how it would feel to be participating in doing what you want and having what you desire NOW.

Add as much detail as possible to achieve the highest sense of realism possible. Perhaps you are attempting to manifest more money into your reality. Use your imagination to visualize yourself having that money NOW. Allow the feeling of success, abundance and prosperity. Visualizing our desires as though they were happening in the present moment is far more powerful and engages the powerful law of attraction or law of affinity to a much greater degree than visualizing it as a future event.

When we visualize in the NOW moment, we activate the vibration of having received this desired outcome. By doing this, we are utilizing the law of attraction to line us up with the reality where we will experience the manifestation of desires.

Enjoy this guided meditation, engage your senses with essential or scented oils, a candle or a cool breeze from a fan.

Guided Meditation: I AM

“I am” is one of the most powerful statements we can make. Whatever follows “I am” starts the creation of it. Yes it’s true – “I am” is a 100% pure statement of creation.

“You have unlimited power and creativity. Your inner spirit knows this.”

You are your own biggest critic and the co-creator of your own life.  With that freedom, you have the immense power to decide who you are and who you’d like to become.  The current truth however, is that most of us are very critical and don’t have the most positive beliefs about ourselves.

At the same time, many of our own beliefs have actually stemmed from the beliefs of others.  We have allowed others’ thoughts about us to have so much power over our own influence that we believe that is who we are. Our thoughts and words have crafted our present and are currently crafting our future – they are not in a  secret lock box hidden from the world, they affect us and others directly and publicly.  If we’d like to see real change in our life as well as success in our endeavors, we must learn to re-program our thoughts and keep them positive – especially the thoughts about ourselves!

The good news is that we have the power of choice. Once aware of this power, we can take action to break the cycle and replace those limiting beliefs once and for all.

We get to choose what to think about ourselves.  Naturally, we all want to improve our current situation, achieve our dream and have more freedom. One of the single most important aspects in individuals that have achieved their goal is their positive attitude and strong “I am” statements.  Yes, action matters; but action is not enough.

As the co-creator of your reality, you’ve got to believe it to see it – that’s why an “I am” statement is so important. If we put our attention to it, we’ll find that our society can be overflowing with negative energy. At the same time, when we direct our attention to the positive we will find that it too is overflowing and growing!  It simply depends on the direction of our attention.

Take this time during this guided meditation to instruct your mind and your intention on following up with positive statements following the words I AM.
