A WEEK IN THE LIFE & A NOTE FROM DARIETH CHISOLM

In Las Vegas, the city of big lights, big dreams, big money and big entertainment… I was all about big hugs and big connections. I spent 3 days discovering my highest calling, connecting with the Queen in me and reflecting on my life’s journey. I walked away (really, I danced the night away!) thinking about what new habits, boundaries and non-negotiables I need to establish in order to do more, be more and have more. The idea of narrowing in so that I can expand in the areas of my life and projects that matter most feels like a polar opposite way of thinking and yet I get it. I’m being intentional about playing a bigger role in impacting the lives of women around the world, empowering them to use their voice, share their story and magnify their gifts and talents.

I nearly fell out of my chair twice this week after opening two emails with awesome news!!!

50 Shades of Silence has been selected to screen at two upcoming film festivals.

Meet me in Los Angeles December 6th- 12th at the Kirk Douglas Theater for the Culver City Film Festival.

And in Arizona in January 17th- 20th, 2020 at the Chandler International Film Festival.

This is a dream come true for me, the women in our film, my crew and team. Directing and producing this documentary, as part of our social justice project to bring voice and dignity to victims of cyber harassment and revenge porn is an honor for me. I invite the audience in on the most private and pressing moments of my life and the lives of the brave women in the film.

The issue of cyber bullying and revenge porn couldn’t be more prevalent these days. You may have seen the news circulating around Congresswoman Katie Hill and her quest for justice after her ex-husband unleashed a revenge-porn attack.

I’ll keep you posted on when it’s airing in the theaters and I hope you’ll join me in the audience.

MOVE WITH INTENTION

With each passing day I become more and more aware of the importance of intention in my life. It can be really easy to go through the motions, to let the days and weeks pass by without focus. Have you let your hopes and dreams go unattended while you give your time and energy to the daily hustle? Maybe you always dreamed of traveling the world, of owning your own business, or taking the stage as an inspirational speaker but you never actually set a clear intention.

The heroine lives her life with intention, {{first_name}}. She stakes her claim on the life she wants and she moves each day in the direction of her dreams. I’ve seen it in my life, and in the life of the powerful women around me… we know what we want.

I’M THINKING ABOUT DESIGNING A VIDEO STUDIO IN MY HOME OFFICE. 

For months now I’ve been wanting to completely revamp my office (which also doubles as a bedroom) into a full fledged luxury video recording studio ! Nowadays I don’t spend as much time in the television studio and I’ve got to admit that sometimes I kinda miss the speed and excitement that comes with bringing a production to life.

So it’s my intention to design a sacred space that energizes me and helps me get into my creative flow. I’m thinking an elegant Parisian inspired space, kind of like the pictures below. If you were me, what would be your inspiration?
